This magnificent Trevoltian house, built in the 15th century, will amaze you not only with the beauty of its salons, ceilings and courtyard… but also with the treasures it houses inside! Opening dates and times October to March: 2pm – 5pm, Monday to Friday (+ Sundays and public holidays in October and March). 10am – 12pm / 2pm – 5pm, Saturdays only. April to June & September: 10am – 12pm / 2pm – 6pm, Tuesday to Saturday. 2pm – 6pm, Mondays, Sundays and public holidays. July-August: 10am – 12:30pm / 2pm – 6pm, Monday to Saturday. 2pm – 6pm, Sundays and public holidays. Prices: €3.60 to €6, free for children under 6. For group rates, please contact us.

Discover the unusual history of Trévoux with a visit to the Musée Trévoux et ses Trésors. You’ll be immersed in the history of the ancient Principality of Dombes, whose influence was measured on a European scale. Unusual collections showcased on two levels through scent and touch!

The presentation of the collections will enable you to discover the different treasures made in Trévoux, and the techniques involved in their manufacture.

The visit

During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to admire treasures such as the statue of “Saint John the Evangelist” or “The Chariot of Love”, a fragment of mural painting. Previously hidden, they were discovered during the building’s renovation. Here you can discover a unique heritage and its associated techniques:

Coinage, metal refining, goldsmithing, hallmarking, diamond dies…

Manuscripts and printed works, including “flagship works”: Mémoires de Trévoux and Dictionnaire de Trévoux.

A spinning wheel, a magnificent spinning machine, completes these collections.
