At the gateway to Greater Lyon, and just across the river from the Beaujolais region, it’s easy to get to by car, train or even bike from the ViaRhôna and the Voie Bleue Moselle Saône à vélo. On the banks of the Saône

Just like home

Gourmets will delight their taste buds as they experience the guinguette spirit along the banks of the Saône. Numerous restaurants line the river from Lyon to Mâcon, serving up the emblematic recipes of our region: frogs, fried fish, Bresse chicken in cream sauce or quenelles. If you’re a lover of good living and meeting new people, you’ll love the enthusiastic welcome you’ll receive at the Maison Eclusière de Parcieux (café, on-the-go cooking, exhibition space, concerts, workshops) and the Maison Eclusière de Mâcon.exhibition space, concerts, workshops) and the Café Vélo La Roue Libre Trévoux (café, snack bar, concerts, repairs, maintenance, bike sales and rentals). You may also be surprised to meet a dozen artists and craftsmen, who share their skills with passion in the historic center of Trévoux.

Our favorite

My cycling weekend

From Lyon, cycle up the Voie Bleue Moselle-Saône to stop off near the medieval town of Trévoux.vale of Trévoux (a dozen Accueil Vélo-labeled establishments guarantee you a specific, adapted and comfortable welcome). The next day, continue on to Thoissey to discover the beautiful cultural and natural heritage of the Bords de Saône. Take advantage of the opportunity to explore Beaujolais and discover Beaujeu on the Voie Verte du Beaujolais from Belleville-en-Beaujolais, easily accessible from the Voie Bleue. After a night’s rest in the Thoissey area, finish the stage in Mâcon. The return journey can be made by train from Mâcon, but the more assiduous can take in Tournus or Cluny, and, why not, Luxembourg!
