Come and discover the world of journeyman carpenters. Superb masterpieces demonstrate the art of carpentry taught at the school of Trait founded in 1871 in Romanèche-Thorins.
The founder of the school, Pierre-françois Guillon, a journeyman carpenter, taught his students drawing, cutting materials and woodworking techniques.
The carpentry layout and framing are listed by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
