Its history
The lock-keeper’s house at the Port Bernalin dam in Parcieux is located on a mound overlooking the Saône, thus protected from the river’s flooding. Built in 1870, the house once housed the lock-keepers responsible for operating the needle dam. It is one of the symbols of the history of steam navigation on the Saône.
