A feast for the eyes
The banks of the Saône
This is THE favorite spot for our photographers. Here, the mirror effect, more or less clear depending on the waves, reflects the landscapes on the Saône. The passing of a boat or a mother swan with her young… We love it! Our tip: the breathtaking goldens hours at sunrise or sunset! Multi-colored panoramas for which it’s worth getting up earlier or staying up later!
Cibeins Park in Misérieux
Enjoy a bucolic interlude at Parc de Cibeins: a true haven of peace, this wooded park is a remarkable natural heritage. Our tip: from October onwards, the park is decked out in its autumn colors! For us, it’s THE season to take the best picture!
Monumental views
Sites such as the impressive Basilique d’Ars-sur-Formans, the Château de Fléchères in Fareins or the medieval Château d’Ambérieux-en-Dombes, will provide you with beautiful images to capture!
Paths on the Dombes plateau
Take the hiking trails in the towns on the plateau, such as Ars-sur-Formans, Ambérieux-en-Dombes, Villeneuve or Saint-Jean-de-Thurigneux… You’ll find gently undulating itineraries that allow you to see beyond the borders of the Dombe region! They offer beautiful panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and the Beaujolais region. On a clear day, you’ll even be able to see the Alps and Mont Blanc!
