Ars Light Festival

If you’re from the Lyon region, you’ll be familiar with the city’s not-to-be-missed Fête des Lumières. It’s an event where young and old alike can marvel at the play of lights on the city’s most beautiful buildings. This tradition has spread to surrounding villages like Ars, just 40 minutes from the capital of lights.

December 8 Illuminations

in Ars-sur-Formans

Enjoy a magical evening of intimacy and conviviality! The village is filled with luminous lights that illuminate the facades of houses but also the most beautiful monuments such as the Basilica of Saint-Sixte.

Throughout the evening, associations, village merchants and local producers will be offering mulled wine, oysters, crêpes, soups,…, other delicacies from the bakery, restaurateurs…

You can do your Christmas shopping with creative craftsmen or at the Private School Christmas Market set up outdoors in a room adjoining the Town Hall.

Our best secret

Ptsss… this is just between us? Our best secret: push open the doors of the “Maison de la Basilique”, located next to the bakery. Discover its pretty little wooden chapel, rarely open to the public, then warm up with the DELICIOUS mulled wine offered by the seminarians!
